In November of 2023 I heard angelic music filling the cathedral ceilings of the huge (10 bedroom?) ranch house I was visiting.
Sitting at the long family table overlooking the Colorado landscape, I set down my tea and looked over to see my brother playing Bach on his grand piano.
He only had two fingers to work with.
ALS had taken the rest.
How he made that music with two fingers…
Unimaginable.
It pierced something in me.
Today is David’s birthday.
The second one since leaving his body.
He was also the second oldest of my sister and my five older brothers.
In Human Design he was a 3/5 Emotional Manifesting Generator, Triple Split.
His Sun was in Gate 5, Rhythm, and his Earth in Gate 35, Progress. (The current transits.)
The guy had talent.
With Gate 35 in his Conscious Earth and Conscious Moon – he could figure out just about anything.
With his spiritual path – Unconscious Neptune in Gate 48, Depth, along with his Conscious South Node…he was called to go deep, and had the natural ability to master whatever he focused on.
Example: an accomplished pianist…
Truly, he was one of the most naturally gifted beings I’ve ever known.
A pragmatist, with his Defined Head and Ajna, I would put him solidly in the mentally brilliant category.
High school valedictorian, Yale undergraduate. Harvard MBA, successful CEO businessman…
You get the drift.
In honor of him I just rewatched his 15 minute memorial slide show.
What a world he inhabited!
Living in France and Europe for most of his adult life.
Traveling extensively.
His wife and four children.
His friends.
Rafting, Skiing, biking, reading. Always reading!
And working. Always working.
I remember him telling me once that I had been the smart one.
That choosing to be self-employed – I was a Rosen Method Bodyworker at the time, making my own hours – was much saner than the grind he had put himself in.
Then again, he was probably making 7 figures!
In the end
All his accomplishments fell away.
What was left was his heart.
What was left was his love.
Through ALS he made the journey from the Head to the Heart.
Being with him at the end was truly being with a master.
What remained was the truth of who he was.
Pure love.
As I contemplate David and his life,
I’m acutely aware that we don’t know what is coming.
What will shake us to our core?
What will strip us of our identities?
What will call us to make that journey from the Head to the Heart?
From the Human Design perspective the 2027 shift could bring some of us to our knees.
This isn’t about inciting fear, rather orienting to what lies ahead…
There is an understanding that since 1615, which brought the Industrial Revolution, we have been under the influence of The Cross of Planning.
A deeply Tribal foundation.
On February 15, 2027 we transition to the Cross of the Sleeping Phoenix.
A profoundly Individual era.
One where the structures that have bonded us and provided for our survival are unraveling.
We’re entering a period of coming back to our individual selves.
Taking our authority back.
Rather than projecting it on someone outside ourselves.
How will this play out?
How will this impact us, our relationships, our work, our money, our educational system?
This new era is in place until 2438 AD!
That’s 411 years…
We all feel the changes happening…
The weather shifts…
The political environment…
The introduction of AI…
Everything is whack amole!
We just don’t know what lies ahead –
Personally or globally.
Can you feel the shifting sands?
How is it showing up in your life?
There is a sense that we need to prepare…
To be prepared…
But how?
For what exactly?
That’s not as clear…
We are each on our own path…
How the world shows up for us will differ.
And how we meet what arises makes a difference…
Do we resist the changes ahead?
Or do we open to the Field of Allowing?
Is it our personality that shows up to solve the challenges?
Our conditioning?
The strategies we built to survive childhood?
Or something far greater?
How do we navigate the fears that change inevitably activates?
How do we make that shift that David made –
From our Heads, solidly based in polarity, to our Hearts, rooted in Oneness…
We have to call on something deeper, something wiser, something incorruptible.
What have to call on what is unchanging. Unchangeable.
I believe this turning, this shift…
IS OUR OPPORTUNITY TO WAKE UP.
To come home.
To rest in the Truth of our being.
To embody the stability that is not dependent on external circumstances to provide our safety and well-being.
It is a tall ask.
A high bar, as Pali would say….
I believe we here now for this very purpose.
The teaching that “We are already awake” permeates my being.
And yet, I’m still on the path of fully living that.
Like most of us, I have simply been trained to forget.
We have all been conditioned away from ourselves.
Remembering who we are is the real work of this lifetime.
How do we do that?
That is the million dollar question.
I actually have a path.
