Kelly Ruby Hanson is a death doula, mental health coach, and Human Design practitioner who helps people process grief and trauma to build better relationships with others and themselves.

In her personal life, Kelly spends a lot of time outdoors hiking or driving off-road vehicles in remote areas which means she is a lover of maps and navigation skills. She thinks that was one of the big attractions to Human Design, how the bodygraph can be viewed as an energetic map of a person full of themes and words and juiciness that can be used to grow and heal. When she goes into the wilderness, she pulls from at least three different maps to find my way. In sessions, Kelly uses Human Design as a starting point for clients to chart a course and navigate through their lived experiences.

In Human Design grief work and death date work, I use the person's HD chart along with the transits of day someone they love died, and we begin to get to know the person that was lost and the energies that were present the day they died.
Doing HD death date work is a unique and deep way to work on grief and understanding of the people in our lives. The client requesting this type of work did not need to be present with the person who passed away in order for this session to be helpful. In Mental Health coaching, Human Design supports the work I do in the background. We may not directly involve the client's HD chart, but it is referenced and used teach the client about aspects of themselves that will help them move forward in healing and learning tools and techniques to live the lives they desire.
With my traditional Human Design work we dive all in, using the person's chart, their ancestral histroy, their lived experiences, and combine that with a trauma-informed approach to coaching to engage in a conversation with the person's chart. It is like doing 10 years of therapy in a few hours.
