From March 12th through the 18th... The Sun is transiting Gate 36, Crisis. The Earth is transiting Gate 6, Friction.
Another set of funky names.
But don’t be deceived.
These energies are powerful and supportive – especially important for these crazy times!
Both Gates come off the Emotional Solar Plexus.
Hello emotions!
Gate 36, Crisis, is Collective Sensing Energy that reaches to the Throat Center.
It’s Right brain energy that can’t tolerate boredom.
It wants to experience life.
It wants to share its experiences.
In the I Ching it’s called Darkening of the Light.
Here we understand that cycles have a natural rise and fall.
There is an end of a cycle – which is to be expected.
Ra says,
This is the place where our fears of vulnerability and inexperience (emotional and sexual) are resolved or transformed into experience; where we create and meet the challenges of change and growth through emotional crises.
As we gain emotional clarity over time, we learn how to handle emotional crises created by others, and we create less of them ourselves.
Richard Rudd speaks of the path of 36 as Turbulence to Humanity to Compassion.
He says:
The 36th Gift doesn’t freeze. It doesn’t close down. It stays open.
Wow. Do you know what that entails? Someone or something completely threatens to overwhelm us, and we stay open. Our hearts may recoil for a few moments, but we breathe deeply into our chest, anchor ourself in the belly, and look the experience right in the eye.
So you see, this Gate 36 has a medicine we desperately need as the world is shifting around us. As we’re threatened by overwhelm….
There is the possibility of staying open.
Of meeting and transforming what arises…
WOW, indeed!
The Earth in Gate 6, Friction
So who wants friction?
This is Tribal energy coming off the Emotional Solar Plexus moving towards the Sacral Center.
It is part of the Channel of Mating.
Think of the grain of sand creating the pearl…
Think of the friction the sperm needs to breakthrough the shell of the egg to create an embryo…
Gate 6 is about intimacy.
It operates like a diaphragm, opening or closing depending on who it wants to let in.
Richard Rudd speaks of the 6th’s path as Conflict to Diplomacy to Peace.
He says:
Every human being is emotionally vulnerable until we drop our protective defences. The defences form around our heart, and as long as our hearts reamin defended and closed, they can’t heal.
Ok.
So yes, both the Sun and the Earth are emanating Crisis and Friction.
But the higher octave or frequency of the 36 and 6 is Compassion and Peace.
Both energies can create barriers of protection around the heart –
or they can be open-hearted in a way that can hold and allow the crisis and friction without emotional reactivity.
They can usher in a new possibility of meeting what is arising from the vantage of the heart.
Compassion and Peace.
What if we stood on that ground?
What if we were bigger than what arose in our field?
From this viewpoint...
In our Advanced Certification Training today, people with these energies consistently in their chart shared their experience of the Planets that occupy these Gates.
The consistent reflection was that people appreciated this energy in their charts.
They also acknowledged that it took time to come into alignment with it….
Early in their lives they created crisis or caused unnecessary friction.
They described these Gates as alive, passionate energies, that once they learned to use them wisely became huge gifts.
Today is my father's birthday.
He would be 101 if he were alive.
He was a Manifesting Generator cardiovascular surgeon.
He dealt with people in crisis on a daily basis.
Many were facing life and death health issues.
He had to use friction (cutting into people’s bodies) to bring healing.
He was a man of deep Peace and great Compassion.
He had that gift of meeting whatever arose with ground and clarity.
Wednesday was my Manifestor friend, Stephanie’s birthday.
She survived huge childhood crises.
She advocates for people in the Trans community.
She brings friction to conservative communities to open people’s hearts.
She has that steady capacity to meet what arises with enormous understanding and compassion.
Tomorrow is my Generator coach/Creative Legacy marketing guide, Andrea’s birthday.
As I write about her I see the pattern.
People born in this week have a special capacity to meet crisis.
No matter what flipout I bring to her, she remains steady. Grounded. Clear minded. Curious. Open-hearted. She nudges me with a little Friction to break out of my patterns and expand…all in the spirit of creation, growth, forward movement….

They don’t shift out until June 13th.
So yes, you’ve been impacted by these energies since January.
Crisis and Friction have been in the field.
They’ve been impacting all of us.
The South Node reflects the energies that we’re coming from in the past, the North Node, the energies we’re moving into.
As you look back do you see the Friction the world has been grappling with?

Take time to reflect!
How are you meeting the Crisis and Friction in the world?
Do you experience it in your personal world?
The world at large?
Are you reactive?
Shutting down?
Going into fear?
OR…
Are you able to open your heart.
Tap into yourself as the Awake Awareness that you are?
Your True Nature.
This is not spiritual bypass.
When we are not in fear and reactivity, when we’re in a more expanded place, we can meet the Crises that arise from a place of love.
When we react, we are not clear.
We are seeing through a distortion lens.
A fear-based self.
The opportunity is to open into our HEARTS.
Yeah.
Sometimes easier to do than other times.
Especially when we’re living out of our wounded self.
It’s a big ask.
A practice.
And, it’s what we’re here to do on our awakening journey.
Or, as Pali said in class today: we’re not exactly looking to wake up. We’re looking to LIVING AWAKE!
